Inspired by a family trip to Spain, I decided to take my 5 yr old daughter to a free trial class with Maestra Mari. One hour in & we were hooked! My daughter looks forward to Spanish class every week & wishes it was every day. She has learned so much in just a session & a half. Maestra Mari has enough energy to keep up with the littles & very clearly loves what she does. We are both looking forward to being back in class this fall!

My children (ages 6 and 2) attended Miss Mari's bilingual support class this past spring and were not disappointed! My daughter was especially hesitant to try speaking Spanish before the class. But now, with the help of Miss Mari's enthusiasm and catchy songs and activities, she is speaking more Spanish at home and having fun doing so! Mari- I brought my 20 month old granddaughter to your class last week- our first one! We both loved it so much. She enjoyed the dancing and music and we've been singing the songs and new words together ever since. What a fun activity to do together while mommy and daddy are at work! Miss Mari is the best!  My 18 month old son loved going to class every week. Miss Mari combined songs, props and a ton of enthusiasm to make every class special and fun.  We also received weekly emails with class summaries and links to resources we can use at home. My son's favorite song now is "Dos Manitas". I highly recommend Miss Mari and her classes!

My daughters and I had the pleasure of having private Spanish lessons with Maestra Mari. We ALL looked forward to her coming each week! Her energy, enthusiasm and love for teaching really shines through! She truly engages her students with fun props, songs and dances that help you enjoy learning the language. She also follows up with emails reminding you what you learned that session so you can practice for the next lesson. We cannot wait to work with Mari again in the future!!

Wonderful class! I took this with my 4-year-old son, who is usually not the most enthusiastic participant. But after the first class, he was counting to six in Spanish on the way home and I heard him singing one of the songs from class. My daughter and I have so much fun at Miss Mariko’s Mommy and Me Spanish class!  Miss Mari does a great job making each class fresh and interactive, while also making sure key concepts are repeated so the children truly absorb them!  A typical class includes a variety of songs and movement-based activities, as well as show-and-tell.  Miss Mariko is a friendly, prepared and organized teacher; she provides weekly emails that include all the material from the previous class so that practicing at home is easy!  She even made her own You-Tube videos featuring songs from class.  My 2 ½ year old and I have both learned basic Spanish words and phrases, without any prior background in the language and have had fun doing it!  I highly recommend Miss Mariko’s Mommy and Me classes for anyone interested in learning something new with their child!

Mariko's "Spanish for Mommy and Me" classes are in one word SUPERB!  She has a true passion for teaching children.  My 5 year old daughter has quickly learned Spanish in Mariko's caring, creative and fun-filled environment.  Mariko is creative, has a great sense of humor, is patient and encourages everyone to become comfortable with speaking in the Spanish language.  She has an unparalleled knowledge of the Spanish language as she is a native speaker and because she is continuously researching and keeping up with current foreign language learning techniques.  I feel that my daughter will become fluent in the language because of her participation in Marikos' program.
